Hello! I’m Iris, and I’m a 4th year Industrial Engineering student. Over the next year I’m honoured to be the President at Institute of Industrial Engineering UofT chapter. My goal for IIE this year is to host quality events that offer real value to IE students, and to provide abundant resources for students’ career development. Furthermore, I aim to enhance the presence of UofT at the IIE Student National Conference so that we have the opportunity to connect with students all over Canada. A bit about myself? I’ve been involved with IIE back in 2nd year specializing in marketing and events, and this year I’m very excited to expand the potential of IIE with a talented team! In my leisure time, I love to travel and experience different cultures. I would love to connect, so feel free to reach me and let's grab a coffee!

Hello fellow engineers! My name is Dora Ranilovic and I'm very excited to be back for another year on the IIE executive team. As your Vice President, my task for the upcoming school year is ensuring that you have the best Conference experience you've ever had. As many of you know, the IIE National Student Conference is an annual event where industrial engineering students from all over Canada come together to learn, compete, connect and, most importantly, have fun! Joining the University of Toronto delegation this year will give you an opportunity to hear inspiring speakers from the industry and academia, show off your consulting and simulation skills, and spend an amazing weekend in Waterloo, ON. I hope that through the IIE events, you will connect with companies on the forefront of their respective industries. If you are studying industrial engineering and you want to know about the broad range of opportunities you will have once you graduate, an IIE event is the perfect place to start.

Hi everyone! My name is Dina, I’m a fourth year Industrial Engineering student, and your Operations Director for IIE this year. My goal is to manage the logistics of the events (determine event dates, develop a budget, estimate attendance, and book rooms) in order to ensure undergraduates gain the best experience possible in the industrial engineering field. By being a part of IIE (joining networking events and professional development workshops), you will develop professional skills looked for by employers in the industry. So come on and join us this year! Let’s make this the best one yet! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me/Facebook me! My email is [email protected].

Hi Indy’s! My name is Manion Anderson and as I enter second year I will be serving as the Finance Director for the IIE. During my first year, I had the pleasure of serving as the First Year Ambassador for the IIE and in this position I was able to learn a lot from the past exec team about Industrial Engineering and the different events the IIE hosts. Using this experience as well as adding my own, I hope to bring a successful perspective to the team.
Professional development plays an important role in introducing students to new ideas, job skills, experiences, structures, and technologies that will benefit them every day in the classroom and also assist them in transitioning to the workplace. My goal for the upcoming academic year is to maximize the amount of subsidies the IIE receives by affiliating with the various on campus organizations in order to be able to host many of the programs we have in the past as well as a few new ones. I hope to work with our external exec, Anna, in order to develop some relationships and gain funding from off campus organizations. Suffice it to say, I’m very excited for this upcoming year and I can’t wait to get to know all of you! Beyond being an IIE exec, I play rugby for the Skule team and enjoy checking out live music as well as exploring the restaurants and events that Toronto has to offer. Feel free to say hi or contact me by email at [email protected] if you have any questions! |
Hi everyone! My name is Aadil and I will be your Marketing Director for the 2015 – 16 year. My first exposure to IIE was through the National Student Conference (which you should all attend!), where I had the opportunity to meet a lot of IIE students – not only did I make more friends but they also really helped me out academically and professionally, which in turn got me interested in paying it forward for other students. My goal this year is to help the team host events successfully through raising awareness of IIE and what we do – our events span a wide range of interests, with everything from software crash courses to consulting competitions and of course, the Student Conference! I hope that I’ll get to know as many IndE students this year as I attempt to increase the in-person presence of IIE and I look forward to seeing you all at our events. Please feel free to email me ([email protected]), Facebook me, call me maybe and we can talk about anything and everything!

Hi friends! My name is Robert and I am excited to be joining the IIE team this year. I believe that with any organization or event, communication is one of the most important factors in determining its success. As Publications Director, I am committed to providing you with the most up-to-date information about events and opportunities. I plan to work with Aadil, our Marketing Director, to increase IIE's profile in the student community. We are launching a brand new Facebook page and a revamped website this year, which we will use to offer students an abundance of career development resources. I hope these new features will be of help to you. Outside of IIE, I am a trombonist for the Skule Orchestra and an avid hockey fan. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, suggestions, or just want to chat. I look forward to seeing many of you at our events!

Hello all! My name is Rajeev Sowamber and I am a first year Industrial Engineering student. I am delighted to be the First Year Ambassador for IIE and I am eager to begin. The first event I attended at UofT was an Alumni Mock Interview hosted by IIE and I was amazed by the professionalism and the connections they had for the interviewers. After reflecting on this experience, I saw the benefit of the outcome. I knew I could contribute to the IIE group which lead me to become a First Year Ambassador. As a First Year Ambassador, I will primarily communicate to all first year Industrial Engineers at UofT and promote IIE’s events through different mediums of social interaction. Some information about myself, I was a member on the Varsity Blues Mountain Biking Team and I am a student research volunteer at the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Centre. If you have any questions or want to get in touch, do not hesitate to send me an email at [email protected] or on Facebook.
